Forgone care in patients with type 2 diabetes: a cross-sectional study

Abstract Background and objective Diabetes mellitus is a complex chronic disease requiring appropriate continuous medical care delayed, or forgone may exacerbate the severity of disease. This study aimed to investigate factors affecting in patients with type2 diabetes. Materials methods was cross-sectional involving 1139 type 2 diabetes aged> 18 years 2019 Tabriz, Iran. The researcher-made questionnaire used for data collection. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS software version 22 AMOS 22. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) performed dimension reduction questionnaire, Confirmatory (CFA) verify result EFA. We applied binary logistic regression model assess care. Results Of patients, 510 (45%) reported during last year. percentage forgoing higher without supplementary insurance coverage ( P = 0.01), those complications (P 0.01) history hospitalization 0.006). majority (41.5%) that most important reason financial barriers resulting from treatment costs. main four affecting, quality had highest impact on at 61.28 (of 100), followed by accessibility (37.01 awareness attitude towards (18.52 100) social support (17.22 100). Conclusion results showed that, despite implementation Islamic Republic Iran fast-track beating non-communicable diseases (IraPEN), considerable number care, reasons related pressure dissatisfaction Therefore, not only more programs should be carried out, but improved.
